Dominick M. Kortkamp, LUTCF®, CLF®

Managing Partner

Dominick began his career with New York Life as an agent in 2002 right out of college in the Long Island General Office and captured many company awards: Life Centurion*, Life All-Star* and Career Foundation*. In October 2004, he was promoted as a Partner at the age of 25, becoming one of the youngest to be promoted to the position. In September 2008, Dominick met all of the company requirements and was promoted to Senior Partner. In March 2009, he was offered the Managing Partner position of the Hudson Valley General Office. Under his leadership, the Hudson Valley office captured many National trophies*. In September 2012, Dominick was offered the Corporate Vice President position in the West Central Zone and was responsible for assisting Managing Partners in 30 offices with Agent and Partner development. Shortly after, Dominick was announced as the Zone Vice President of the West Central Zone agencies. Through Dominick's boundless energy, passion, and commitment to excellence, he made a substantial difference in developing our next generation of West Central Zone leaders. In September of 2015, Dominick was offered the opportunity to lead one of the most prestigious offices at New York Life as the Managing Partner---New York Life Manhattan. Over the past five years, Dominick has lead Manhattan to unprecedented growth capturing multiple national trophies, including the most honorable trophy of them all, the Chairman’s trophy in 2019.

Dominick is married to his wife April, and they have 3 children.

Abdel Boussayoud

Senior Partner

Abdel Boussayoud became an agent with New York Life in Sept 1999, after working overseas in different human resources and financial management positions for 10 years. During his career as a New York Life Agent Abdel qualified for President Council and New Agent of the Year (2001), Executive Council (2000,2002,2003), and Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Member (2001,2002,2003). Among other awards Abdel obtained were Centurion (every year), Annuity Champion (2001,2002,2003) and Life Foundation Award (2000). Abdel became a management associate in April 2003 and was later promoted to Partner in April 2004, where he achieved Top 50 Partner Level (2006, 2007). In March 2008, Abdel was promoted to Senior Partner.

Dilshad N. Rahmonov

Senior Partner

Del joined New York Life in 2009. During his career as an agent, he qualified for Executive and Executive Premier Councils achievements. Among other awards, he was the recipient of Life Case Rate Leader/ Lives Protected Champion (2010), Premier Centurion (2011), Life Eagle award (2012).

Del was promoted to a Partner's position in 2012. In 2013, together with his team, he won the prestigious "Most Cases per Agent" award on the National platform. Del has an extensive background in hotels and Restaurant Management.

Del is Fluent in Russian, Turkish, Uzbek, and Spanish languages.

Neilton G. Moreira

Senior Partner

Neilton joined New York Life in 1999. During his career as an agent, he qualified four times as an executive council member as well as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Among other awards, Neilton was the recipient of the Career Life Producer award in 2000, the Centurion award in 2001 and the prestigious industry award, the National Quality award, from NAIFA in 2003. Neilton became a Management Associate in October 2002 and was then promoted to Partner in September 2003 and then Senior Partner September 2008.

The Million Dollar Round Table(MDRT), The Premier Association of Financial Professionals, is recognized globally as the standard of excellence for life insurance sales performance in the insurance and financial services industry.

Zahra Metghalchi

Senior Partner

Zahra grew up in Paris, France and moved to New York as a young adult. She started her career with New York life in 2003 while raising three young children in New York City. As a single mother, she was looking for a career that would afford her the flexibility, the benefits and the unlimited income potential that she believe she needed in order to provide her family with the education, the security and the lifestyle she had envisioned for her loved one. New York Life gave her the opportunity to fulfill those needs and beyond. Her hard work and ability to build relationships resulted in a thriving career as a financial advisor. Fourteen years later, now with all her “children” grown up, she joined the management team at the rapidly expanding Manhattan office. Shortly after she was promoted to Senior partner in 2020. Zahra's goal is to offer the same opportunity that she has enjoyed at New York Life to others.

Avis Jones-Devonish


After 20 years of experience in the banking industry, Avis joined New York Life in 2015. Avis has achieved 3 Premier Executive Councils. She has received numerous awards including Career Life Success Award, Producer Award, Life Achiever Award and Life Foundation Award. Her passion for community development and giving back has led her to various leadership roles to uplift and create positive change in her community. Avis enjoys working with New York Life and her own successes, she takes pride in developing, coaching and motivating her own team. Avis lives in Brooklyn with her husband Wayne and is the proud mother of 2.

Conroy Simpson


Conroy started his career with New York Life in October 2015 as a Financial Service Professional.

During his tenure, he qualified for the Life Success Award in 2015, Career Life Producer Award in 2015, Life Foundation Award in 2015, Career Life Achiever Award in 2016 and the Life Foundation Award in 2016.

Conroy was the Life Paid Case Leader in December 2015 and in April 2017. He was also the FYC leader in February and May of 2017, the All Star in 2017, and Life Eagle Award recipient in 2017. Conroy qualified for the Premier Executive Council for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017 and was also Premier Centurion in 2016 and 2017.

He was promoted to an Associate Partner's position in April 2018, where he spent 6 months, dedicating his time to build a team comprised of financial service professionals who are willing to make a difference in their community by helping others make educated decisions in achieving their financial goals.

In October 2018, Conroy was promoted to a Partner's position. He continued dedicating his time towards building and promoting individuals who have an entrepreneurial ethos, and who are looking to build a financial practice for themselves, but not by themselves.

Davinder Kaur


Davinder Kaur joined New York Life in 2015. She qualified two times for executive council. She achieved Career Life Success Award, Career Life Producer Award, Career Life Achiever Award and Rookie Agent of the year 2015 Award in her first year of career. Also achieved Life Star Award and Premium Centurion Award in her second year. In less than 2 years With Company, already qualified to transitioned into management as Associate Partner. She is originally from India and has background in Medical Assistant. She is very passionate about her career with New York Life.

Edmir Dymleku


Edmir began his career with New York Life as an agent in the Manhattan General Office in 2019, as a fast track candidate to management. He has over 10 years of managerial experience in the Insurance Industry overseas. During his first year he captured Career Life Success Award, Career Life Producer Award and Executive Council. Edmir met all company requirements and was promoted to Associate Partner in October 2020.He holds an MBA and speaks several languages. Edmir is married and father of two daughters.

George Ewusie


George started his career with New York Life in 2015 on a Professional Alliance contract and then to the TAS contract that same year. He qualified for Executive council for two consecutive years leading to his transition to Partner role in 2018. He has received many company awards including Life Paid Case Leader of the month, Rookie Agent FYC Leader of the month, Life All-Star award, centurion council agent, just to mention a few. George came to NYL with over a decade worth of accounting and finance experience working for companies such as Merrill Lynch, State Street Corp and AQR Capital Hedge Fund. He currently holds a CPA license and a Master of Science in Finance degree. George is committed to his work at NYL because of the many opportunities NYL offers to help expand his knowledge base and impact the lives of family and others. George is married to his wife Georgina and they have a son named Godlove.

Jahayra Munoz


Jahayra Joined the New York Life team in 2009, after graduation from Lehman College with a degree in liberal arts and science and a past career working in luxury cars sales. Within her first year she became a council member and the repeated in 2011 and 2013.

In 2013 Jahayra was promoted into management as a Marketing and Recruiting Manager in the Latino market, where she got to bring talented individuals into the career and help them market themselves in the Latino community. She is now a partner in the Manhattan General Office and is building and developing her own team.

Jahayra is married to her husband, Aron, and they have two children, Nicholas and Mariana.

Kevin Yang Partner


Kevin started his career in the financial industry in 2003, specializing in real estate investment and portfolio lending in the affluent market of Orange County, California. With a passion for helping others succeed financially and providing guidance through various life stages, Kevin has transitioned his career to private banking advisory and wealth management for one of the biggest banks on the West Coast. For the next decade, Kevin has taken on various leadership and strategic management roles with some of the most prominent banks and financial intuitions globally and develop new markets across the coasts. Kevin has held many positions throughout his career, such as financial executive, non-profit board member, education curriculum director, and chief editor of business publications. However, regardless of what title he holds, he will only consider himself a coach dedicated to helping others develop personal and professional skills to achieve success in personal, financial, and career goals. In 2021, Kevin has joined New York Life Manhattan Office to support the vision and the mission to help the people and the various communities of New York by creating and developing the most diverse professional financial advisory services. Kevin is part of the New York University Stern Executive MBA Program with dual specializations in Strategy and Leadership in Change Management. When he is not working, Kevin dedicated his time to non-profit organizations that aim to bring awareness to Children Autism and help professionals develop leadership and public speaking.

Mary Ann Rivera


Mary Ann Rivera is an Associate Partner with New Life Manhattan General Office. She joined New York Life in Feb 2018 and was promoted as Associate Partner in August 2020. She had 19 years of solid experience in Financial Services with Multinational conglomerates in the Philippines before migrating to the United States in 2017. She started her career in sales in pharmaceutical as medical representative and later promoted as District Manager for Bristol Myers Squibb Philippines. She transitioned to financial services when she joined New York Life International Philippines. In 2001 as Sales Manager and later became Managing Partner for the Southern Philippines General Office. She moved to the banking industry and worked for Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corp (HSBC) as worksite solutions head. After 3 years she joined AXA as Corporate Solutions Manager and later decided to join Philam Life, a subsidiary of AIA Hongkong as Unit Manager for their Agency distribution channel. MaryAnn is living in Bergenfield, New Jersey with husband Jeremy who works as Nursing Administrator in Amsterdam Nursing Home and son Jesse who also joined their firm very recently in the Manhattan General Office. Their hobbies include playing golf and hiking.

Robert Couse


Robert began his career in insurance and financial services in 2006 as a New York Life Agent in the Westchester General Office. During his time as an agent Robert qualified for several honors including Life Centurion and Million Dollar Round Table* (MDRT) in his first year. MDRT membership is recognized internationally as the standard of excellence in life insurance and financial services. Robert qualified for Council every year he was an agent and in 2007 was the Westchester General Office’s Rookie of The Year.

In 2012 Robert moved into a Management Role as a Partner with the Westchester General Office. Here Robert brought his passion, dedication, creativity and leadership to the team by identifying the talent in individuals and helping develop them and grow the General Office. As a Partner, Robert also experienced success qualifying for the Gathering of Eagles and multiple Cultural Market Awards. Robert also qualified for the Partner Commitment Award each year he was a Partner.

In January of 2017 Robert was asked to join New York Life’s Silicon Valley General office as their Development Manager. Here Robert led the entire training and development program for one of our top 30 New Organizations within New York Life. Under Robert’s tutelage, Silicon Valley experienced an unprecedented increase in overall productivity and production, as well as retention. This tremendous success ultimately led to Silicon Valley winning the organization’s retention trophy 2 years in a row among all of its peer offices. After 4 ½ successful years of service with Silicon Valley, Robert was given the opportunity to head back home to New York and assist Managing Partner, Dominick Kortkamp continue to grow one of New York Life’s premier offices which is New York Life Manhattan.

Robert looks to leverage his extensive background and experience as he plays an integral role in New York Life Manhattan continuing to grow and achieving its future vision as an industry leading office. Robert graduated with a BS in Economics for the State University at Oneonta. He currently resides in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of Manhattan.

Stephanie Moreira


Stephanie graduated with a degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 2014. As a second generation New York Life financial service professional, Stephanie has received multiple awards including Agent of Month and Life Allstar. Stephanie has also qualified for Executive and Quality Council yearly since beginning her practice in December 2014. In 2020, Stephanie was promoted to Associate Partner and is concentrating on management. Her focus is to build and establish a successful team who share similar goals - to better the lives of others while creating financial independence for themselves. Stephanie currently resides in New York City. She is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Ursula Q. Kwofie


Ursula Q. Kwofie started her career with New York Life in 2016 as a Financial Services Professional 3 months after she migrated from Ghana ,West Africa.

Ursula was awarded with BSC in Banking and Finance from Central University College, Ghana and she also has the series 6 and 63 professional certifications.

Prior to joining New York Life, Ursula worked as A Sales Advisor with IAS/FedEx Ghana. She is the first of 5 children and spent the first 30 years of her life in Accra, Ghana.

6 months into her career, she qualified for Executive Council which is one of her greatest achievement which she prides herself with. She also quailed for Quality Council for 2 consecutive years. Other Awards she's received are the Life Success Award, Career Life Producer Award, Life Foundation Award, Career Life Achiever Award and the Life Foundation Award all these awards in a span of 1 year into her career.

Ursula was the FYC leader and Rookie Agent of the month of June 2017, she also received the All Star award and Life Eagle Award.

Ursula has a great passion for helping her community and has volunteered several times in projects and events in her church and community.

She joined the management team in August 2020 with the objective of offering the same opportunity she got from New York Life to others and also to help them be successful.

Ursula is happily married to Francis with a smart son Jeremy and an adorable daughter Stephanie.

Denis Gogh CLU®, ChFC®, CLF®

Senior Sales Development Manager

With over 38 years of experience in Training and Developing Agents; Denis is the Senior Director of Development in the Manhattan General Office.Denis holds three Masters Degrees, and the Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant Designation as well as the Chartered Leadership Fellow from the American College.

Denis has a passion for training and developing Agents. Denis is a nine time NYLIFE Life Star Trainer of the Year and has earned every NYLIFE Trainer Award that the NYLIFE Company has to offer. Denis is directly responsible for the training, and delivery of the NYLIFE NYLIC University Curriculum. Denis has served multiple New York Life General Offices each time leading them to the number one status in their respective group rankings in Life Case Rate and Life Sales. Denis leads a Development Team with one clear objective-provide Agents with the tools and resources necessary to succeed. Denis started his career as an Agent. During his time as an agent he qualified for Presidents’ Council twice, he was a Centurion and an MDRT qualifying member.

In July-2006 -Denis first took over the lead training role at the Manhattan General Office. During his time in Manhattan, the General Office has continued to expand and continues to grow. Denis is committed to the training and development of New York Life agents! He is a member of NAIFA, enrolled in the Masters Program of the American College and is a moderator/facilitator in the American College CLU/LUTC Program — all witness to his commitment to continuing his professional education, and keeping abreast of the evolving insurance and financial industries.

Denis resides in East Meadow with his wife, Donna; his two daughters, Christina and Nicole; and their beloved dog Bailey and cat Oreo.

Rocio Mendez CLU®, ChFC®, CASL, CLF®

Senior Sales Development Manager

Rocio joined New York Life as an agent in 2007 after eight years of experience as a Store Manager for two major Department Stores. During her career as a New York Life agent she achieved executive council and later was promoted to Associate Development Manager. Rocio graduated Cum Laude from Baruch College with a BBA in Marketing. Rocio earned the CLU®, ChFC® and CASL, CLF® designations from the American College and is now a Director of Development. Rocio is the proud mother of Christian and Nathalie.

Michael Farina

Sales Development Manager

Michael Farina began his career with New York Life, as an Agent, in July 2017 after spending 8 years in the Hospitality and Restaurant Industry. Michael earned Executive Council status, as well as a Career Life Producer* award in his first 12 month. After his first Council, Michael had the opportunity to join the Life Sales Desk in August of 2018 and work with agents across the country to assist in their life insurance sales. Michael decided to return to the field as an Agent in December of 2019, achieving Executive Council in 2020 and again in 2021. Michael joined the Manhattan Management Team as a Development Manager in February of 2022. Outside of work, Michael’s hobbies include golfing, fishing, cooking and spending quality time with his Family.

Jemal Carter, ChFC®, CLU®

Director of Development NYC Region

Jemal S. Carter grew up in Harlem, New York City and is the oldest of six children. He started his first business, with the help of Children's Aid Society at the age of 13. Jemal has held management positions at some of the nation's top companies over a twenty-year span.

Jemal joined New York Life in 2012 as an agent. Seeing the opportunity to educate and give back to his community, Jemal became one of the top performing agents in the office. He has won various awards including the Career Life Producer Award, Career Life Success Award, Strive for Excellence, Guaranteed Lifetime Annuity Leader, and countless others. In 2015, after reaching the Executive Council level in his first three years and building a client base of over three hundred, Jemal decided it was time to return to management. In management Jemal would help cultivate successful financial professionals, that would continue to educate and serve the communities they live in. As a development manager in the Nassau General, Jemal continued striving and creating a culture of winning. Winning the New Org Case Rate, New Org Retention, Life Star Award, Life Paid Case, Agent Growth, Life Sales Awards in consecutive years as an office. As well as the Agency Builder Award for referring others to the career. In 2018, Jemal joined the Manhattan General Office where he continued to promote new and creative ways to enhance the agent experience. In 2019, the Manhattan General Office won the Chairman’s Trophy, Life Sales Award, amongst others. In 2022, Jemal became the Director of Development NYC Region, which focuses on facilitating agent beliefs in marketing and prospecting, creating activity and strategies for advisor marketing and community events, deepening community relationships creating sustainable activity for the advisor’s practice. Jemal holds the ChFC and CLU designations, the FINRA Series 6, 63, 26, and 7 licenses.

Jemal lives with his wife and has two beautiful daughters. Jemal prefers to be addressed as Mel, his childhood nickname.

Dake Hubbard

Corporate Vice President Field Service

Dake Hubbard began his New York Life career in August of 2002 as an Office Assistant in the Colorado General Office. He was promoted to Agency Assistant one year later. In the fall of 2006, he was accepted into the Associate Administrative Manager program. In August of 2007, he was transferred to the Illinois General Office to continue his AAM training. His first assignment as Administrative Manager came in March of 2008 in the Cedar Rapids General office. One year later, Dake was appointed to the newly created Western Illinois General Office. Dake accepted the Corporate Vice President position in the Manhattan General Office in the fall of 2014.

Over his tenure with New York Life, Dake has won the Educational Excellence Award, the Best in Class Award, the Life Case Rate Partnership Award, the Recruiting Partnership Award, the Operations Management Excellence Award and the Administrative Manager of the Year Award.

Dake attended the University of Colorado. He resides in New York City.

Lisa Smoltino

Director of Agency Standards

After graduating from Hunter College with a BA in Psychology, Lisa started her career in Financial Services working in the Compliance Department at a NYC Broker Dealer. From there, she became an Operations Manager at MetLife. Lisa joined New York Life in 2008 as an Agency Standards Consultant at the Brooklyn General Office. In 2018 she joined the Management team at the Manhattan General office as the Director of Agency Standards. Lisa holds the Series 7, 24, 63 & 66 licenses. Lisa lives with her husband Will and two daughters Amaya and Charli in Brooklyn, NY.

Grace Matos

Latino Market Manager

After working as a schoolteacher for 8 years, Grace decided to utilize her educational experience and intertwine it into educating adults on what they need to do financially. Excelling in her role as a Financial Professional for over one year, capturing most of the company’s awards, Grace was offered the opportunity to lead the Latino Market at the New York Life Manhattan office. Her role is to expand the Latino Market in local communities across the five boroughs and seek talented individuals and offer the right person the opportunity to join our firm. Grace is married to her husband, Abel, and has two children, Aiden and Jarred.
